Carol's mother telling a friend: “Two days ago, Carol brought a man to our department. Even though she finally decided to start dating again, everything went wrong. My daughter didn’t say a word about this situation but I know that she feels bad about it. When they arrived, I tried to be quiet and I even decided to use my headphones so as not to bother and to give them some privacy, but for some reason that man couldn’t understand her. To make things worse, in that moment, my grandson threw up and she immediately went to see him. To tell you the truth, I don’t think this young man was prepared for “too much reality”. This is completely unfair, she is a great and independent woman, she is an excellent mother… her son is an incredible boy, I truly believe that she deserves to be in a healthy and loving relationship.”
Carol: “Hello Susan! How are you?” Susan: “Hi Carol! Fine and you? I´ve been waiting for your call. I want to know about your date. Was it good?” Carol: “Oh Susan! What can I tell you? At the very beginning it was great!! We went to dinner and then we went to the cinema. I enjoyed a lot those moments because he was kind and respectful.” Susan: “Great Carol! I´m happy for you! But I get the impression that there was something wrong in your date.” Carol: “Yes, Susan, you are right! He had some romantic advances and I was taken by surprise. I felt very nervous.” Susan: “I understand you… but what happened?” Carol: “Well, you know.. my son started to throw up, my mother was also there, and I went to see him. Do you imagine what he said to me when I returned?” Susan: “No! Please tell me!” Carol: “It´s too much of reality for Friday.” “That was what he said, and left.” Susan: “Oh Carol.. I think he was not a very good man. I´m sure you´ll know a better man soon; and he will be a wonderful company for you.” Carol: “Yes, I hope so. Sometimes I feel so along. What I intend to say is that I feel that I need a man to share my daily life.” Susan. “Yes, I understand you… Today I´ll arrive home at 7 o´clock. You can come so we can talk better. What do you think?” Carol: “It is a great idea Susan! So… see you later. Bye!”
Hi friends! This is the conversation I imagine between Carol's mother and her friend Esther on the phone:
A: Hello? B: Hi, Margaret. It’s Esther calling. How are you? A: Oh! Esther, dear. I’m very well, thank you. What about you? B: Wonderful, Margaret. I was just thinking of you and Carol. It’s been ages since we last saw each other. We should get together some time and have tea-just for old times’ sake. A: Yes, we should definitely do that. We have so much to catch up on! Especially after what happened to Carol last night… B: What happened, dear? You sound so disappointed. A: Oh, well! It’s a long story, but in short Carol had a lousy date yesterday. B: Tell me all about it, dear. You know how much I love Carol. A: Well, you know at first he seemed like an approachable and easy-going guy. They met at the restaurant. He is a regular there. Anyway, he asked her out to the movies and then to dinner. She was over the moon about it. B: Really? Sounds too good to be true. So, what happened? A: They came home. He was dressed smartly, but not too much, and he was very handsome. I thought he was a good catch. They seemed very happy when they arrived, they were even laughing! B: Oh, Margaret! I can’t believe it! You were peering through the blinds, weren’t you? You`ll never change, dear! (Laughing) A: No, Esther. I swear that as soon as I heard the doorbell I put my headphones on! Never mind, you won’t believe what happened later! B: Spill the beans! A: They headed for the living room; but just some minutes after that Jesse began coughing. I’m pretty sure he heard Carol arriving. That’s when I saw her heading straight for Jesse’s room. B: Oh, darling. Poor Jesse. A: He was even calling her. I felt terribly bad. Imagine, Jesse was even throwing up. You should have seen Carol’s face, she looked so worried, and guilty! I kept an eye on Jesse all night long. He`s better know. B: Seriously? Poor thing! But what about Carol’s date? A: That’s the worst! Can you believe the guy left? I guess he just got scared at the whole situation and fled. I think he even slammed the door on his way out… B: You’re kidding me! What a jerk! How’s Carol doing right now? A: You know Carol, dear. She’s strong and determined. She’s a bit sad, but I think she’ll get through this one. B: What a shame! Well, send my regards to her and to Jesse. A: I sure will, Esther. Thanks for calling. I guess I’d better be going. B: Sure, sweetie. Talk to you soon. Take care. A: Thanks for calling. Bye for now! See you soon.
The guy telling a friend about his night out with Carol. A: Hey Richard, how are you doing? Tell me everything about your date! B: Hi, Martin! Okey, but let’s have something to drink. A cup of coffee? A: Yes,sure! B: You won’t believe it! I picked her up at 7 and we went to a nice restaurant. We had a great time there! We chatted, laughed, drunk some wine! A: And? What is she like? Where did you take her after that? Your flat? A special place, maybe? B: Wait dude! We stayed at the resto up 9 or 10, I don’t remember exactly the time it was, and then she told me about going to her house! A: Did she? that’s awesome! You didn’t have to pay for a good room in a motel! B: Yes, but it didn’t go as it was expected! A: Why? What happened? B: We got to her apartment; I was totally out of my mind. I thought it’d be a hot and long night. A: But? B: But it wasn’t. First, we were, you know, kissing and touching madly when I heard someone talking. A: What? Doesn’t she live alone? Oh man… B: Her mother, her mother was there, can you believe it? A: Her mom? Are you kidding me? She lives with her mother? B: I don’t know. Thing is that she was there. And what is more, we were in “her bedroom”. A: In her mother’s bedroom? B: No! in Carol’s. But it was like a part of the living room separated by a curtain. Imagine. A: Oh man, I can’t believe my ears. That’s terrible. And you were supposed to have sex there? With her mother by your side? That’s crazy man! Incredible. B: Yeah, awful. But that wasn’t all. She has a son! A: Oh really? And was he there too? B: No, he was in his room “sleeping” but, all of a sudden, he begun coughing. And she went to see him… A: And you? What did you do? B: I was there in her “bedroom” at a loss to know what to do. I was going to light a cigarette when she appeared and told me to not smoke there because her son has pneumonia. A: My God, I can’t believe everything you are telling me. And so? Did you do something? B: Wait, after she told me not to smoke a hold her and damn, as I touched her, she had her breast full of saliva or something of a kind. A: (laughs) oh man, that couldn’t have happened to you!! And what did you do? B: So annoy I was that I left the house with a “too much reality” as my last saying. A: Did you ever talked again? Are you going to date her again? B: Are you kidding me? Forget it!!
Hello guys, this is the conversation between Carol's date and a friend of his:
A: Hey Jeremy! how are you doing!? I'm sorry I'm late! B: Richie! hey! you are finally here! Now spit it up! Tell me about your date! A: Wow man! Easy! I'll tell you all about it, but first let's go for a walk. (in the walk...) A: We spent a lovely time at the restaurant; we had salmon and salad to eat, of course I invited. We talked about many many things and after a while we decided to go to a bar and have some fun. There we had some drinks and danced a lot! B: And then what!? did you take her to your place? A: No... actually we went to her house... she told me that her son was very ill, but that he was going to be sleeping so we needn't had to worry about that... B: That's all very well but... you sound like something didn't go quite good. A: I know, I drove to her house and when we got there we rushed to the couch and started enjoying ourselves. B: That's cool man! So which is the problem!? A: The thing is that her son was not sleeping actually... B: Ohh that sucks... really... A: What's more, her mother was there too! Can you believe it!? B: Are you fucking kidding me!? What happened then? A: Well, we tried to intimate but her son started coughing so she had to go have a look at him. When she returned I was really willing to leave that nuthouse but, I stayed for a little longer. We started kissing again but at the very moment I touched her breast I felt terribly horrified. Her boob was covered with vomit!! B: Ohhhh, no way! You must be lying! That is all very very unpleasant for me, I can't imagine how awful it must had been for you! A: You have no idea! After touching that disgusting thing I couldn't take any more of it so I just took my coat and left. It was the worst night ever! But well... now I just don't want to see her again! B: Got a point there dude... Next time you better look for some hot chick but with no children!

Hi, Guys! I've chosen to write about Carol's mother telling a friend about Carol's date. This is the mail Carol's mother sent to her best friend.
Hi, Claire! How are you? Sorry I couldn’t write you yesterday as we had some problems with the internet. Besides, I’ve been really busy lately as my grandson became sick last week and he is still in bed. Doctors are not sure about which is the most effective treatment for him as he is extremely weak. I pray for him every day and I hope he recovers soon. Anyway, my daughter has finally had a date last night. I’m so happy that she wants to move on with her life! The son of a friend of mine from yoga finally invited Carol to a restaurant and I’m sure they spent a lovely evening until they came to the apartment. Little Tim was sleeping and I knew that my daughter would bring her date over here to have some privacy, you know. So, I put my headphones on to listen my favourite radio programme and to avoid hearing the noises from Carol’s bedroom, which has no door at all! Well, let me tell you that things ended up sooner than I thought. I’m sure the chaos of this house frightened him away! I’ll tell you more on my next mail. Please, write back soon! Take care of yourself! XOXO Beverly.
