  1. Hello!! I find the article very interesting and enjoyable to read because I have two fears or phobias. I am afraid of mice and rats. I hate them! I think they are horrible! I read that this phobia is called musophobia. As the article says, this fear started with a particular situation. One day I found a mouse, very big, in a neighbor’s garage and I started to shout and cry while the animal was running.
And I have another phobia: I don´t touch batteries and if I have to touch one of them because there is no other option, I do it with a paper or gloves and then, I wash my hands!

  3. Hi there, everybody! Well, I don't tend to talk too much about it, but as a child I struggled with the idea of swimming; especially in big, deep swimming pools. I was so fearful of it I avoided getting near swimming pools, no matter if they were really shallow, I wouldn't even look at them. This fear or phobia hadn't grown out of any bad experience, though. I imagine it just developed out of thin air. I eventually decided to venture into my school's swimming pool and later, with a great effort and practice, I even took part in competitions. Nowadays, I don't suffer from any phobia or fear, so I guess I'm lucky in that sense!

  4. Hi there, well I don't remember so much about any fear or phobia but I can say that I was afraid of darkness. I used to close my eyes and walk in the darkness because I believed that if I were to open my eyes, I'd see something bad like a ghost or something like that, lol. Now, I still have that fear but instead of seeing a ghost, I'm afraid of coming across someone trying to kill me just for the sake of stealing something from me (money, etc) or hurting not only me but my relatives. It's not funny, but it's the real truth.

  6. Hi everybody! I´ve read the article and I consider it really interesting. Well, when I was a child I was afraid of darkness so I slept with a light on. Also, I was afraid of frogs and I still have that fear because they are horrible. I run when I see one .I hate them!

  7. Hi everybody! What a theme! Thank God, I don’t have fears or phobias nowadays, but I used to. One day during my childhood, I was collecting things like little colorful stones form sand when a spider jumped and bit my leg and I broke down in a cry. Since then, every time I saw a spider, I was afraid of it. That was the situation that triggered my childhood fear. Time help me to overcome this fear. Even though, I wouldn’t kill a spider, if it were that big.

  8. Hi everybody! To be honest, I’m afraid of heights. The fact that I can’t see well makes it worse. I’ve experienced this fear since I was a child, especially since I started wearing glasses. I can’t be on the edge of some building or balcony because I get extremely anxious. Some people make fun of me and they try to scare me in those situations…It’s awful!!!!

  9. Hello hello, are you ready to go back to school??? or are you all "schoolphobic"??? lol
I don't think I'm afraid or have phobias to anything but as Nati said I hate rata and mice. I love animals but those that slide their bodies on the ground are nasty for me. I haven't faced any particular situation with any of them yet, that is why I don't feel I'm the kind who fears but dislike them.

  10. After having read from different sources I can now understand in a more complete way what Obsessive-compulsive disorder means. But I also think that it’s a very serious mental disorder, which is becoming more and more common nowadays. It is very important that a person who may feel identified with all the obsessions and compulsions get some help as well as medical treatment.
In my opinion, OCD is not something dangerous, though people with this problem may find difficulties in interacting with other people. Therefore, it affects people’s social context.

    2. So Sorry, my mistake! I keep a file with all my comments, which I correct and check before sending. Apparently I've copied and pasted the worng one.

As far as the topic is concerned, I must admit that I have a kind of phobia of hens, chickens and all sort of animal with feathers that are kept freely in a farm. I believe it all started when I was a little girl and my mother transferred her fear to me. She told me that when she was a child, some hens had chased her and she had been afraid of them since that awful situation. Anyway, I’ve always tried my fear not to become a big problem, which I consider it was really positive because this fear doesn’t stop me from doing things or going to certain places like farm, the countryside, etc. Fortunately, that doesn’t prevent me from eating chickens!

  11. Hi there guys, here I come with a really stupid true, my phobia is not the dark or silly ghosts, for me one of the worst things that can ever happen would be to be completelly surrounded by locusts! Even being next to one makes me feel totally scared. I know it is absolutely silly and dumb but it is what it is!
I don't really know the reason why I'm affraid of them and I cannot recall any bad experience, but the truth is that those big and brown locusts with their legs full of sharp thornes make me feel sick. Just imagine the time of the egyptian plague, I would lock myself in a damn bunker! hahaha

  13. THIS IS MAIRA'S ACTIVITY.
Hi everybody! I don´t know if it is a phobia, but 'm really afraid of ghosts and all the things related to them (especially when they want to kill you). I'm also afraid of horror movies because then I think that the monster, killer, ghost or whatever will come after me jaja! I think this has started when I was 10 or 11 and me and my friends were watching this horrible movie "the ring" ( la llamada"). I was so scared of the dead little girl that calls you and kills you. I watched half movie with my eyes covered. And after that movie, we found "Friday 13" on TV. I hated the fact that "Jason" couldn't die! How come!!! He was not a ghost! He was like Sylvester Stallone, he never died! No matter how hard the stupid girl, who always runs alone into the forest, hurts him! Anyway, after watching those movies I thoughtthat Samara (the little girl) was going to come out of toilet jajaja (because in the movie she is in a cistern). So I don't like when my friends talk about those kinds of supernatural things, ghosts, strange noises, cemeteries and all that.
