very excited about our wedding dear! Just think of me in precious white dress
and you wearing your father´s suit.
- Yes
honey, I cherish that moment too. I can´t believe that our parents agreed to the
wedding.
- Yes,
it was really hard to prove ourselves to them. However, I don´t know why, but I
keep having the feeling that something will happen.
- Don´t
be afraid my love! Nothing will keep us apart. I swear I will always be by your
side.
- That´s
very sweet. You´re the best thing that ever happen to me, and I can´t imagine
living without you.
They went ahead planning the wedding. They were
supposed to get married in two weeks. But they never thought what destiny has
planned for them.
A couple of days later, Garet received stunning news…
- Garret!
What a lovely surprise! But tell me, what are you doing here? Why do you look
so sad?
- I
have something to tell you, it got me by surprise. Yesterday, I received a letter
from the military service. I´m obliged to attend the war. It´s compulsory for
me and I must leave tomorrow morning.
- No,
no, please, tell me that you´re lying. Please, tell me that it´s a nightmare.
- I´m
so sorry. It is no dream, but I promise I will be back.
- You
promised you would never leave me.
- I
know, it´s killing me, but I have no option.
- Please,
don´t go! Let´s escape together.
- I´m
really really sorry! But, honey wait for me! I promise we will get marry. Don’t forget that I love you.
After Garret´s departure, the passing of the days
started to be harder and harder for Jasmine. She couldn´t stand being away from
him. That´s the reason why she started writing letters to him expressing her anxiety and sorrow. Luckily for
her, an answer arrived to the post
office at times and that´s how Jasmine kept her hopes alive.

Every night she wore Garet’s suit so that she could feel
that he was there with her….
Through the passing of the days, she started to think
that Garet forgot her…
As every afternoon, she was having a cup of tea in the
hall of the house waiting for her love, when suddenly, she listened that
someone with a strange beard was walking into her house… when she noticed that
she knew that man, he was her true love Garet. She ran to him and with a passionate
hug they showed how bad they had missed each other.

They never thought they were going to end up together because of the distance that kept them apart, but since Garret´s family had moved to Pompeii, they could finally spend more time with each other.

After reading the letter Jasmine fell to her knees devastated and heartbroken. The letter said that no soldier had survived after the war. She began to wonder how life will be without Garet. Jasmine did not find answers or comfort. Every night she wore Garet’s suit so that she could feel that he was there with her….
Through the passing of the days, she started to think that her life had no meaning and I had to do something to give back her soul, so she decided to settle in the monastery where she offered her life to God hoping to help those people suffering for love, illness or loneliness.
Her heart started to fill with gratitude and love that people gave her. Now, Jasmine’s life, had regained its meaning although part of her heart will never forget her great love Garet, who she expected to see again very soon in the afterlife.

After two months she received a sad new. Garret and the other soldiers were dead. She felt devastated and she couldn´t face up the new. Jasmine thought that her life had no sense without Garret´s love and she decided to commit a suicide.
What a sad end!! Poor Jasmine was hopeless!!

When she noticed that she knew that man, he was a soldier. But he wasn’t her fiancé. She started shivering because she felt a bad sensation. The man introduced himself and gave her a letter. It said that a soldier was killed by the enemy. She was crying for hour, she was devastated. After some weeks she talked with her parents and took the decision of getting married with the man that they had chosen. Because her heart was killed by the enemy.
- My heart is dead so I will never love another man again.
She carried out her promise and formed a family. But she couldn’t be happy in this life. Only the sons’ love gave her the power for to continue living.
After 5 years, while she was doing the launder, someone knocked the door. She opened it and there was Garet. Her true love had survived the horrible war but he was took prisoner. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Garet was hoping the kisses of his fiancée when he heard a child who shouted
- Mum…!!
In that moment, they realized that they couldn’t be together anymore. A little mistake of a letter broke a big love of a couple.
